Deep garnet, with dark plums, black currants, smoke and tar. Hints of spice and torrents of rich brambly black fruit. The telltale citrus oil from the Lawrence Vineyard only lingers faintly. The palate is rich and saturated with lots of texture, the tannins are fine and certainly subdued by the ripeness of the vintage. |

Pale gold, notes of exotic honey, apricot preserves, honeysuckle and marmalade. Intense but fresh and the concentration of aromatics is intoxicating. Swirling brings on bees wax, caramelized pear and the greatest sweet puff pastry you can imagine. The palate is decadent, saturated but balanced by great acidity. The greatest dessert wines defy how much sugar is in them, and this is a spectacular wine. |

Notes from Aryn Morell:
Garnet color, hints of currants, strawberry paste, spice and vanilla extract. Swirling brings up heavier fruits like plum jam mixed with a floral ripe raspberry. This is a prettier Cabernet that stays away from the traditional mocha and dark spice. The palate is bright , polished and fresh. The elevation protects this vineyard from even the most severe heat like we saw in 2009, retaining that classic freshness. The tannins are present at this point but are refined and balanced nicely by the fruit. A note of strawberry jam lingers through the palate all the way to the finish. This wine will pick up weight and begin to show darker fruits with age, but is quite elegant now.

The palate is polished and ripe with just enough richness to balance the firm but supple youthful tannins. This wine is full of show now and should age nicely for the next 4-6 years. |

A super ripe nose of black fruit, black currants, plums and blackberry liquor. Lacings of molasses and caramel intermixed with bay leaves and candied fruits. The palate is rich, almost decadent with firm tannins and a nice lingering finish. This wine can be decanted now but would benefit from a few years of aging for maximum reward.

The wine is open textured on the palate with molasses and a hint of dried herbs, enveloped in dark saturated fruit. Hallmark Lawrence vineyard tannins that are fine and integrated, allowing early drinking pleasure. |

Whole-cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel, the wine is loaded with ripe melon, green apple candy, citrus and classic Riesling flavors. The sweet notes are delicate, and the 1.6% residual sugar is carefully balanced with natural acidity to provide a great food-friendly Riesling. |

This dry Pinot Gris was whole-cluster pressed and fermented in 100% new French oak puncheons, aged sur lees for six months. This artistically handcrafted beauty is a classic, sophisticated and expressive from start to finish. Its layers of floral, honeysuckle, lemon rind, clove and ripe pear are wrapped around the textures of sweet oak, bright acidity and rewardingly complex and with a dry finish. One of my favorite white wines of the ‘09 vintage. |

Bright dried apricot and pear nose. Silky texture with mouth-filling sweetness that is not cloying, but is incredibly rich ending with clean acidity and a lingering finish that keeps you wanting more. A great stand alone dessert wine that will also pair well with stone fruit oriented desserts. Serve well chilled. This wine will only improve with 5+ years in the bottle.

Continuing the artistic style of Gård Vintners, the 2008 Dry Riesling was whole-cluster pressed and fermented in neutral oak barrels. Aged 8 months sur lees, the wine is expressive of citrus, floral blossoms, ripe pear, green apple and honey. It's no wimpy Riesling with hints of gooseberry, wet stone minerality a textured mouthfeel, balanced acidity and a clean, crisp finish.
